The Rev. Michael J. Hoban Council was instituted on March 23, 1997. Its By-Laws were adopted on July 13, 1997. Our council was founded through the efforts of The Charter Members and named after Reverend Michael J. Hoban, who was a priest of St. Mary`s parish. The Rev. Michael J. Hoban Council 11946 works closely with St. Mary`s Parish of Shelby and Christ the King Mission in Kings Mountain, providing funds for various projects, and whose members actively support their parish.
